
You’re Invited to Submit an Abstract for the 2019 Diagnostic Excellence Summit
Faculty and staff members who are interested in making oral or poster presentation at the Armstrong Institute’s Diagnostic Excellence Summit are encouraged to submit abstracts online by Jan. 13, 2019.
The summit will be held March 7, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Turner Concourse and Tilghman Auditorium on the East Baltimore campus. Focused on the major public health and health care quality concerns related to improving diagnoses in health care, the 2019 event will incorporate the theme, “Improving Diagnostic Performance Through Innovative Educational Strategies.”
Submission topic areas include:
- Scientific abstracts: Original research related to diagnostic error that includes quantitative or qualitative data.
- Practice improvement abstracts: Specialized programs, strategies, tools and solutions used to improve information flow in diagnostic medicine.
- Education abstracts: Educational tools, programs and assessments used for health professional education in diagnostic medicine.
- Clinical vignettes: Cases and scenarios that have actual or potential diagnostic errors as means for providing educational value.
