Introducing a New Website for Physicians
Suburban and Sibley Memorial Hospitals have launched a new website just for physicians.
The goal of the Physician Portal is to make it easier for you to connect with us. The website is your resource to learn from and connect with other physicians at Suburban and Sibley Memorial Hospitals, to share insight on the latest clinical innovations and advances in patient care, and to find out about events and download frequently used forms.
Registration for Diagnostic Excellence and Patient Safety Summits Now Open
Registration for the Diagnostic Excellence Summit on March 7 and the Patient Safety Summit on March 8 is now open and filling up quickly. These back-to-back summits are hosted by the Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality on the East Baltimore campus.
The Third Annual Armstrong Institute Diagnostic Excellence Summit will focus on the major public health and health care quality concerns related to improving diagnosis in health care. The Johns Hopkins Medicine Patient Safety Summit will feature hundreds of health care professionals from across the organization coming together to learn about their colleagues’ work in patient safety, research, safety culture and prevention and identification of harm. The theme of the summit is “Commitment to Resilience.” To register, click here.
Magnet Designation Update
Our Magnet document has been approved and Suburban has officially been accepted for a site visit by the American Nurses Credentialing Center!
The site visit will take place on March 11, 12 and 13 (Monday through Wednesday). The purpose of the site visit is to verify and amplify the great work outlined in the document. Please take time to read the document, available on the SHIP homepage. Additional information will be provided in the near future about kick-off activities and what to expect as we prepare for this final stage of the designation process.
Magnet designation is truly a reflection of an organization-wide commitment to the highest quality patient and family-centered care and all that it entails!
