The medical office pavilion will comprise approximately 35,000 square feet of the clinical addition and will be located on the entry level of the building, close to the convenient onsite parking garage.

The clinical addition comprises a number of enhanced and expanded services to better serve patients, visitors and medical staff, including:

§  State-of-the-art cardiac catheterization labs

§  All private medical and surgical patient rooms

§  The Marriott Education and Conference Center

EPIC

Tip of the Week: Dragon Voice Recognition Dictation Coming November 26th

Starting Nov. 26, Dragon Medical One voice recognition software will be available within Epic for all providers at Suburban Hospital. The software is being deployed as part of the enterprise-wide “Joy at Hopkins” initiative to improve the quality of life at work for our clinicians.  The hope is that this tool not only helps providers to work more effectively, but allows them to spend more time with patients. Join us in the lounge on Monday, November 26 for the Kick-off. There will be on site support – please click here for tip sheets.

To access the tool, providers must install the PowerMic Mobile app on their mobile device or use a microphone which has been installed at PC’s in high-traffic areas such as the consultant work room in the Emergency Department. To download the PowerMic Mobile app to your phone, please see the above tip sheets for instructions.

There are several resources available directly from Epic to get you started.  When you login to Epic, in the top left corner is a button called ‘Learning’.  Clicking on this will take you to a Learning Home Dashboard where you can access training videos and tip sheets for Dragon.

We will also have provider support personnel in the Physician lounge from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. weekdays from 11/26 to 12/7.
